Your commercial roof is unique, and its repairs require specialized knowledge. By applying roof cement to a TPO system, you not only void your manufacturer’s warranty, but you also release solvent vapors that are harmful to both your roofing system and the human body.
As Union-trained technicians, we work with all major roofing systems to provide our commercial clients with consistently superior service and education.

-
BUR
Built-up roofing (BUR) is one of the oldest and most reliable commercial roofing systems available. BUR consists of alternating layers of bitumen asphalt and reinforcing fabric to create a highly durable watertight membrane. Common repairs include blister removal, gravel replenishment, and cement patching.
-
APP
APP (commonly known as “torch roofing”) is an asphalt-based roofing system that relies on heat welding to bond to a roofing substrate. APP membrane is highly resistant to cracking and aging. Common repairs include heat-welded seam reinforcement, granule restoration, and membrane reinforcement.
-
SBS
SBS (commonly known as “cold process roofing”) is an asphalt-based roofing system similar to APP. The difference between APP and SBS is that APP relies on heat welding, while SBS is considered a “cold-adhesive.” Before applying the asphalt-based membrane, a brush-grade asphalt adhesive is applied to the underlayment. The SBS membrane is then rolled onto the roof to provide a durable watertight seal. SBS is a flexible, impact-resistant system that performs well in fluctuating temperatures. Common repairs include membrane reinforcement and cement patching.
-
TPO
TPO is a highly reflective, energy-resistant single-ply system that offers superior resistance to UV rays and chemical exposure. Common repairs include seam welding, membrane reinforcement, and puncture repair.
-
METAL ROOFING
A durable system often installed on warehouses, office buildings, and industrial facilities. Common repairs include panel replacement, rust treatment, and fastener replacement.
-
SHINGLES
Common on sloped commercial buildings, shingle roofs provide a durable asphalt-based system that’s highly resistant to temperature variation. Common repairs include shingle replacement, underlayment reinforcement, and sealant replacement.
-
SLATE/TILE
Highly durable and aesthetically appealing, slate and tiles roofs can last for decades when installed properly (although they are prone to breakage). Common repairs include tile replacement and mortar reinforcement.
-
FOAM
While uncommon, polyurethane spray foam roofing is a seamless, lightweight, and highly-insulating roofing system. Common repairs include coating and puncture repair.
-
PVC
PVC is a durable, chemical-resistant system ideal for restaurants and industrial buildings. Common repairs include seam welding, puncture repair, and chemical-resistant coatings to extend its lifespan.
